If its for oil retention we use loctite 577, if its dry we sometimes use loctite 243
Ok cheers bud its for flywheel bolts, when i looked up loctite there was lots of versions all with different break away points, Low=6Nm, Medium=26Nm, High=38Nm what ever this means!
But also the low an medium cost Ł8 and the high costs Ł180

I saw that its for flywheel bolts but don't know if they hold back oil on your engine. Low/medium will be fine
cool. But please can some one explain to me what the break away thing is about because surely the whole point is to stop it coming loose and if bolt torque rate is 68Nm then you'd expect the thread lock breaking point to be higher than the bolt torque
Don't use the high strength stud lock as it's only designed to be removed by applying heat (blow torch job). I would suggest medium strength, two drops onto the bolt thread, then fit and torque straight away.
