Just use the well know people wont go far wrong then ......

You pay for the experience ... anyone can put a turbo together not everyone can put one together right ...

How far snapped in has it gone, try an engineering workshop, I snapped mine on my escort as the banjo on the feed was wrong and I went too deep but I managed to remove the bit out with ease

Nah it's all fixable the main turbo housing is cast iron so it very strong, and worse case is undo the shaft nut and dismantle the turbine so you can drill out the feed and retap the hole

Just make sure if any debris falls into the housing you will need to remove it as the bearings and journals are very small and will clog up

exactly this... any bits of metal or debris etc that fall into the oil way will have no way of just 'draining out' it will go straight into the bearings or thrust washer and scrap it in seconds, ive just had my turbo rebuild by turbo rebuild they have done a good job too

Ah, is the turbo still on the car, if not take it to an engineers shop or that turbo rebuild company, it needs to be drilled out and re-tapped its not dead so don't stress too much

turbo-rebuild are ok, dan is the guy that runs the place and is a decent bloke.
i know of a few that have used him and won't try to rip you off.
he has a balancing machine, so don't think he is someone just having a go, he knows what he is doing.

on another note if you send it off to a turbo rebuild company i very much doubt they will drill and tap out the oil feed union, they will just supply and fit a new cast center bearing housing, and to that i very much doubt they would want to use the old bearings so they will want to put new bearings in so in the end you will probally end up paying for a rebuilt turbo
