Default How much will it cost me

to do a rear disc conversion on the Escort.

A few times it has gone light on me and the back end has nearly properly come out!

And will it have to be done by a pro?

Thanks

I'd suggest looking at your brakes/suspension you have first mate.

Just because it has drums on the rear, that is not the reason that the back end will come round.

What suspesnion did you have fitted i.e what make shocks and springs ??

Have you checked the tyre pressures ??

Have you checked the rear bushes ??

Have you checked the rear drums arent binding or seized on ??

Have you checked the rear brake bias load valves arent seized up and giving too much rear braking?

Few things there to check 1st

If you need a coversion mate ,I have a secondhand kit ,,But to be honest i dont think that will sort the problem , if the back end steps out its not lack of brakes that causes this ,,bushes etc is the first thing i would look at mate Cheaper aswell

When it comes round to it you'll need......

Mounting brackets
Rear discs (std Sierra or Cossie)
Calipers from a 2wd Sierra / Granada
Mk5 RS2000 handbrake cable
Brake pads
Longer brake lines (about 6-8" longer than std RST rears)
