Help....Boot won't open.
Hello, new to this site so apologies if this has already been mentioned in a post.
I have just bought a 2001 mk3 mondeo estate today as a little run around. Lovely car but there are a couple of issue I want to fix.
1. The boot opens when you press the button on the key but not when you press the button inside the cab or when using the button under the boot handle.
2. When you lock the doors from inside the car using the button above the door handle the doors all lock but it won't let me unlock using the same button, I have to use the unlock button on the keyfob.
Thanks in advance
Pete

I've been having some issues with our Mk3 mondeo estate, regarding locking.
We were unable to get into the boot via button or the micro swich handle (key was also not working).
The boot handle microswitches fail (as was our problem), and this prevents the button on the dash from working.
So take the panel off the inside of the boot.
Unplug (small black) the handle from the boot wiring.
Now see if the button on the dash works fine opening the boot.
If the dash button works, then you need a new boot handle microswitch.
I bought one from Ford, about £34 (with 10% discount).
Hope this helps.
