My car i bought of this guy has my spare alarm fob and my red key,when i picked the car up he said he will find them anyway he found em but wont give them to me now am fxxked as he know where i live and could easy wip my car off,Ive asked for key back and tells me nope not having them,as we fell out.

 

go to ford and spend 100 quid getting it removed from car though cant stop him opening iut

 

may have to do a complete lock and ecu swap if pats then key will be useless to him, but some alarms you can disconnect keyfobs depending on make and spec, but I would first report it to the police as a just in case measure

 

The red key is the master key so adding keys with out this is a more of a ball ache... As regards security, fit a physical immobilizer. Go to the police explain the situation and that he has hinted that it might get stolen (with the keys he has) or go to your insurance company tell them. this will cost you 2 years NCD though, but you will get a new set and the old set will no longer open the car.

If you know anyone at FORD you might be able to get a new lock set, Keys and ECU reprogram not too expensively!

 

just go to the police and get it reported.
if it goes missing, hey presto it's been noted.
they may just pop round and tell him the best thing to do is hand them over, he's actually no reason to retain them and could be conceived as being probably cause to commit a crime at some point.
i don't think the police will do anything, but you won't know till you try.

 

why wont he give them to you?

they go with the car, and were sold with the car new so are your property

 

oh we fell out mate he ripped me off the car i got now so i told admin close me thread and givin me crap that ive messed my car up and that so am tryin to ignore it but they keep following me on every car site

 

Just fit a steering lock and an immobilizer switch in the car somewhere, won't go far if he cant steer it, won't be able to start it, just make sure there's no valuables ever left in it.

 

As already said the RED key is the master key so if nothing else that is what you want. If he wont give it to you then yeah go to the police and get it noted and say that you fear the car will be stolen due to him having the master key and you can not control how many copies of the key will be made.
