i used them, quick service on a t5 rebuild, but the oil refill bung was x-threaded on return, luckily i was carefull and managed to re-thread it using a new bolt/bung.
and they do like a bit of gasket sealer, but the box is still going strong

Depends on the quality of the gearset. Most modern stuff really arent that bad. And 4th will always be quiet in a T5. And a lot of SC gearsets retain the standard 5th, so it too will be quiet.

Straight cut gears have less transmission losses but they are weaker than helical gears of the same width, straight cut gears don't introduce axial loads in the gearbox

nothing short of excellent built me a ib5 box for my diesel with cryo treated gears, atb diff they recommended a 3.1 c/w off a later spec fusion had to modify the carrier , and changed the first second and third gear set, gearing is prefect no issues with the box so far....

Used them for my diffs, great service and price. I'm away to send them my oppliger box as well as it needs the syncros looked at, so they have agreed to inspect it for me.
