There is only so much water Fire Engine tanks hold (around 1800 Litres each)and when thats gone with no hydrant or open water around what do you expect, a miracle?!!!!
I know for this job Essex called 1x Harlow 1x Loughton, 1x Waltham Abbey, 1xOngar, 1x Old Harlow, leading Roding, 1x Brentwood, Control Unit, 1x Hoddeston (Herts), 1xCheshunt ( Herts), 1x Water Bowser (Water Tanker from Cambridge Fire Service) so getting water to the fire was clearly a problem.
Maybe the whole story would be helpful before people make their minds up that the Fire Service did a shit job.
I'm with these guys, theres nothing worse than running around a shitty farm/field/courtyard in darkness trying to find a hydrant to tap in to.. It doesnt matter if 10 pumps turn up at the end of the day when the waters gone its gone..
Sorry to hear of you loss but it COULD of been a lot worse (although Im grieving for you too as a cossie owner)

Spoke to my bother today and it turned out that the nearest hydrant was over half a mile away and the firefighters had difficulty getting close to the fire due to the amount of gas cylinders that were there.

Just for the record I have huge admiration for the fire service, they do an amazing job and are vastly under paid and under valued in this country.
