I am putting a 2.0 silvertop into a fiesta mk3.5 si 1.6, I want to fit an rst turbo lsd gearbox at the same time, is the series 1 or series 2 the best option, and which is easiest to fit.

Either will fit mate.

How ever the ratios are quite tall. Rs diff in a ka box would be good

S2 box is better as it was a more road-friendly LSD than the motorsport-bred S1.

Also Im not 100% sure on this but i think the S1 has different mountings so more work to fit whereas the S2 will bolt straight in

With regards to ratios, the S2 box ratios arent too far off the rs1800 fiesta box, same final drive ratio, and same 2nd gear. all other gears are relatively close between boxes

Both bolt straight in.

My rs1800 box was a lot shorter than my s2 box.

I wasnt sure about them both bolting straight in because the S1 gearbox has a different casing than the S2 so thought there was a bit of modding needed to make it fit.

From the RPM calculator I was using when i trying to decide for mine there wasnt a whole lot in the difference but not having driven both I suppose I cant comment accurately

Yh the s1 box will bolt to the cradle the same as a s2 box. U can't however fit a s2 in to a s1 car

I just found the gears to long. But I was revving to 8k.
