Tbh with you... untill I've sorted a beam out and a diff... 400 is really pushing the car... It feels better when there all sorted then ill up the power... But I see so many with big numbers that is mulla through the bends now.. As I fully use every ounce of that 400bhp..

Unless you want 550+ then standards will do.
Matt Lewis sells wiseco's that have pockets in which is what I'll be using. And are standard comp. fit rods by all means but that's an extra Ł500 or so maybe.
My stage 3 spec will be long studded with wiseco's
Or the are CP pistons too.

No I'm not after power .. Ill be stopping with a T34.48 as before or an equivelent ... I just want a stronger engine with scope to go bigger in future if I require.... I love the car as it is... I just want to make sure it's top top... It's done 91k on original engine now so time to rest it.
A lot of owners spend big bucks,go big power and few have said it spoils the drivability of the car and takes the fun factor away, not to many have admitted this though, well not openly anyway.
I know you love the way your car performs, stick with the spec Mat.
Thanks.Lee.

Think I will stick rods in aswell cos then its all there for future.... Lol
Mat,well said,it's nice to see somebody who is happy with the way the car performs,I think as I have said many times in the past your spec must be awesome and lag free, perfect road car set up in my opinion.

Because I like the T34... It spools and gives me what I need.. My Maram shafted turbo as done 1400 hard miles and is fine @36psi... Unless I find a better equivalent then I'm stopping with the T34 as said above I love the car as it is now .. I just want it a lot stronger for piece if mind mate

Best option for your needs Mat,I think that's a sensible approach myself.

Best thing to do is speak to someone regarding the best motor spec for that turbo unit if thats what will stay on, using a long studded 200 block, pocketed 4x4 pistons, WRC H/G and a spec'd head and a nice cam mix is going to be more than enough

Jay I know exactly what your saying mate .... But I've got to do it ....the engines the only thing that hangs over my head ... So I'm going to build a solid one and keep the power safe
Everyone on pf trying to convince Matt otherwise. IMO he's doing right thing. It's exactly what I'm doing with mine, bombproof (hopefully) stage 3+. It's the best they can be. Maybe lighten flywheel a little and make it a bit more revvy but loose torque. That's where I'm at at the moment. Don't want to compromise too much torque.
This is one of the reasons why won't buy another Chris , I'd be oh I have another cossie stage3 how cool then the devil makes work for idle hands and before you could say jays a cunt I'd be 10k into it wondering what the fuck I was doing there again lol
