Where to get a mains adaptor for my laptop?
Ive finally broken it, didnt take me long
Need to get a new mains adaptor for the laptop, do they sell these seperately (excuse my ignorance, this sort of thing isnt normally top of my shopping list).
Ive got a Dell Latitude CPx, its got a silly little plastic plug in the back that doesn't like being trodden on.
Can I get the mains adaptor on its own and where from? (not online, from a real shop as I want to get it tmoz).

Clare,
[TECH]
Laptop mains adaptors are unique in that they have multiple voltage switching
control for battery charge.
[/TECH]
If short this means that you MUST use a 100% compatiable for your computer.
This can ONLY usually be acheived by buying one from the original manufacturer.
DONT risk anything else as you could damage your computer.

Dunno if any of the above makes any sense, thats whats on the back of the Adaptor I have at the mo.
Im guessing the adaptor I need is pretty generic, its just the connection into the laptop that varies, I could be wrong tho as I usually am lol
Will pop into Maplin tmoz and see what they've got.

Don’t think mine will be any good.
Part No. 9364U.
Model ADP-70EB
50-60Hz 20v
but it does say Family PA-6, though.
The case looks to be sealed, otherwise you could maybe have swapped the output cable onto your transformer.
Sorry.
