Default what is the correct.......................

gearbox mount to use for the 4x4 to 2wd conversion. i think its a Granada one but not sure.
can anyone shed some light please.

Nope, a 2wd one doesn't fit a 4x4 shell.

You need a cradle which you can still get from Ford and it's not expensive either. Don't quote me on it but I think it's an auto one.

Give me 2 minutes and I'll find the finis code in my paperwork.

not an auto one either

ive always just used a spacer to be honest

converted a Auto saff to manual and had to space that too as shells were different!

I apologise.

Ford are fucking Crazy!!!

I thought that the captive bolts slid about to accommodate all gearboxes on the mk2 Sierra.

If it's an auto one then I have one of those.

The finis code is 6177696.

It was just over £17 quid from my local dealer.

Only things I have had to do to fit mine was redrill the holes for the bit that bolts on the gearbox so they were inline with the mount itself and make a hole for the speedo cable to pass through (still to do this) but other than that it's a straight fit.

You can buy the bit that bolts on to the gearbox if you don't want to drill yours but it's not difficult at all to do.

defo auto mount,strange everyone thinks ford would make a part that will convert a newer car to an older 1,but even stranger ford still do them and work perfect
