If petrol TFSi or TSi engine?

If diesel PD or CR engine?

I have a Leon, on a 59 plate - a 1.4 TSi Sport.

The Leon is a well built car. It's basically a VW Golf/Audi A3 in a sharper suit and has a lot of kit as standard, the only critisicm so far is the wheel alignment/tracking is put out easilly, which leads to premature tyre wear. So have it checked on the Hunter 4 wheel alignment kit

Also check that the scuttle panel isn't leaking (the black plastic trim at top of bonnet which houses the windsreeen washers)
Lift the bonnet up and check the soundproofing for mould, if its mouldy, then its leaking (this was fixed by a recall so should have been fixed under warranty)
if its not been fixed, then this can lead to water dripping onto the coil packs - not good.

Other than that it's a well sorted car, better looking than the Golf or A3 IMHO

Take it for a drive you'll be pleasantly surprised!

if you check out seatcupra.net theres loads of advice on there:

it'll be the CR diesel engine then, rather than the PD, which is a bit more refined. The issue with the scuttle panel and wheel alignment will still apply so double check those

hop on over to seatcupra.net and see here:http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=242

I bought my wife one brand new 2 years ago, excellent car does about 55,56 mpg on a run. about 45,46mpg pottering around town. Havent had the car remapped yet as its still under warranty. These cars were a bargain 2/3 years ago as Seat had them at VAT free meaning you could pick a brand new one up for Ł16300 !!! With getting mine VAt free its market value is still about 15k meaning its devaluation as only been about Ł700 a year!

The equivalent golf GTD was nearly 10k more

Diesel particle filter, clog up if cars are just used around towns etc. need to give the car a good blast out every now and again. Mines been ok on the new cr (common rail) engine. is the problem more prone on the old pd engine? i dont know.

Just make sure the injectors have been done if your getting a late PD and its not got intergalactic mileage, and avoid seatcupracocks.net like the plague.
