Default 4wd to 2wd conversion

I'm looking to buy a Saph at the moment but for reasonable money they seem to be few and far between up here. Ideally after a 2wd but there are a couple 4wds for sale at the moment, what is all need to properly convert to 2wd??

I know it needs: Gearbox, mount, speedo drive, clutch cable, flywheel, front hubs

Now from a quick search there doesn't seem to be definite answers so help needed on the following:
Exhaust?
Clutch?
Prop?
Sump?
Crossmember and rack?
Rear beam/ diff/ shafts/ hubs?
Brakes any different between 2wd and 4wd? Or will 4wd calipers etc bolt to 2wd hubs?
Starter motor?

Think thats all thats needed but any help and advice is greatly appreciated

Cheers

hi you could use the 4x4 hubs (just take the end off the shafts and use as dummy hubs) and would save yourself from getting hubs callipers, discs, struts but if you want the 4pots you cant unless you get a big brake kit to fit the 4x4 but i think this is kinda costly
ps i run the 4x4 hubs with dummy shafts with no problems on 2wd

I've done this on mine.

You need the following:

2wd T5 box (obviously! ),
2wd prop,
2wd sandwich plate,
2wd speedo cable,
Gearbox cradle to fit the 2wd box into 4x4 shell (2wd doesn't fit and neither does a 4x4, You can get one from Fords that allows it to fit straight in, I'll dig the finis code out when get home.),
2wd gear lever,

That's the basics. Depending on how powerful the car is, you can still use the 4x4 stuff on the back.

At the front, 2 ways you can do it. The first way is to swap the whole setup for a 2wd setup which would probably be a pain in the arse and quite pricey or you could do it the way I and the other chap who replied did it and use the CV joints without the shafts to keep the bearings from collapsing.

I went a step further and had mine machined down to look neater.

Hope that helps! 

the gearbox cradle mentioned is a standard sierra auto cradle and for some strange reason ford still have these and pretty cheap

you need the 2wd starter motor as mentioned and clutch realese bearing
