was lookin in fast ford mag at dbt engine and would liek to know what make it so bloody powerful... lol

Fast ford said bdt was 1.8 non turbo nd bdt-e was 2.1 turbo with starting power at 550 bhp thts why I wanted to know if any 1 know anything about them

I thought they all had turbos??? Julian Godfrey is the man to talk too if you want to know anything about them.

The feature covers why they make power quite well. And it says (correctly) that the BDT is the 1.8 turbo and the BDT-E is the 2.1 turbo version. It was designed by Brian Hart for all out power and shares very little with the BDT. The block and head are physically longer, doesn't use a head gasket etc...

as already said bdt was 1.8 turbo and bdt-e (evolution) was 2.1 turbo
