That looks BRILLIANT!
Kits are faily inexpensive and if applied right you can get a very good finish and it protects the paintwork underneith withou damaging it. This has to be a strong contender to vinyl wrapping as its far cheaper and once you've got te equipment all you have to do is buy a couple of tins for the next car!

If in Doubt Flat Out...
Its like paint spraying for dummies. Goona look into it for the track car where you want it to look good but dont want to pay out 1k every year. means you can easily repair issues on bumpers and stuff. Always wanted to be able to do it but never wanted to pay for all the equipment and stuff to get a good job and then be shit at it.

I watched all the videos on the site last night and he says after 4 hours of it being on it sets a lot harder than what it's like at first, they pressure was it really close and it's fine, and they put it through a petrol station car wash with the brushes and its alright!

just got a can at local motor factors to play with must admit it does not go that far if doing a wheel for instance and the can was Ł11.99 , but ideal for smaller areas like mirrors, vents and grills

That looks awesome, always wanted my A4 white but wrapping gas always been as expensive as having it painted, think I was quoted 1200 by one place.

The company say 3-5 years.
People on forums/youtube say they have experienced peeling after 2-3months.
Others have had plasti-dip'd wheels good as new after a year of road use.
Some people have claimed damage to lacquer when removing, other people blame that on incorrect prep. etc etc..
The only way to know for sure is to just try it yourself.

I read it on another forum, they got it from plastidip themselves. As said, I have it on my front lower grille, it's been on for about 8 months or so and still looks good. Car doesn't get used much though. If you look on that plasti dip peeling off video, you can see where it's all worn around the door handle.

Ok cheers chaps. I think the longevity depends very much on who's done it and how good their prep is and how many coats they used but the possible lacquer damage is a concern.
hmm more research me thinks.
