Default Is PassionFord gonna be the new RSOC?

Hi all, Well, is it, I don't mean that we all drive RS's (I don't) but back in the early 90's we were all in the RSOC, now, with the internet getting bigger it seams www.passionford.com is getting bigger and RSOC is getting smaller, I get the impression this site is deffo the biggest Ford site and I can't see it getting any smaller.
So, where will it all end, it won't, it'll get bigger and bigger, and before we know it there'll be a Pf national day and all that goes with it etc,
Which brings me onto the original question,

"Is Pf gonna be the new RS owners club(but for all enthusiasts)?"
well?

Cheers,
Andy

Passion ford will never be the new RSOC. maybe on the net but not in real life as i know loads of peeps that have RS and don`t even have a PC never heard of passion ford.

passion ford is so big because it accepts all fords not just RS models

Aside from what DOO wrote, I think that the admin/mods of the site (the most visible 'face' of the community) are much more responsive to the wants/needs of the members.

On the odd occasion where I'd send something to Gizmo or some other 'organizer' I found that it was pretty much a black hole....nothing ever came back. Not exactly 'customer service'

Quite the opposite here though

by the way, if I've got any bits left from the saph cossy I'm breaking, is there any little bits you may need before I scrap what's left?

I hope PF doesn't turn into a club personally
why ??????

it is a club at the moment but all done via the net, there meets about it and its very welcoming with the whole range of people in it, not just old, or young people ect

its very opening and welcoming and none of this wouldnt have been possable if it wasnt for our leader

hail hitler , all hail !

i love ya really stu, just that piccy of you dressed in womens clothes on the army picture was shown to me today and made me cry yet again

Yes Passionford is great but it is a web based reference site not a club as such maybe not for long though but as far as comparing the RSOC to passionford etc How many passioford regional days are you attending this year?? and when is Passionford National day??

Both RSOC & Passionford are GREAT for all us Ford fans let`s just STOP comparing them. We all need them both to continue to carry on the fight against BLOODY RICE ROCKETS.

Theres nothing to compare imho.

When i joined RSOC.co.uk i thought it was out of date and the modding of the site was poor and it still is.

Lets face it, passionford is the new RSOC but with a twist, its for all Ford lovers whether you have a rusty old 1.0 fiesta or a 550bhp cossie, your always welcome.

If you were to join RSOC and post pics of your old banger then you wouldnt last 2 minutes before your shot down in flames, it was too "clicky" for new members to join and be part of the community and that was its downfall.

I got an XR

Nobody hated me when I got it, well exception of few who thought I was mad buying a car that didn;t run right LOL

I have passionford set as home page - it's that good

Can be clicky, but only from a few that think they're above the rest - twits IMO, bollox to status symbols and all that crap

Why don't I think it should become a club ? Because with a club (an official one I mean), comes rules, AGM's, committes, etc... and I guess some freedom gets taken away by club rules, etc...

Also, if there's a financial side to it, it inevitably leads to disagreements, etc... just look at the amount of posts that are related to membership here, where does the money go, it doesn't cost that much to host a site like this one, etc... (and no, I don't want to start a discussion on PF's finances)...

Passionford is free to operate as it sees fit without constraints because it's a free enterprise, those that run it ultimately decide how it works without boundaries other than their own

That's why in a nutshell.

In addition to that, there are soooo many clubs for ford fans already, XROC, RSOC, FFOC, etc...

The whole reason PassionFord is so great is that it is very flexible and 'amateur' in a way that a full blown club like the RSOC cannot be for obvious reasons.

All the meets and work done for PF is very casual and not done for business purposes but as a hobby for the benefit of everybody who reads the site! Let it grow free of its own accord and see what happens!

If it became a club, it would go downhill so fast, and I would be off like a shot.

Obviously i have never been in the RSOC but have only heard bad things about it and TBH i think the XROC is pretty rubbish too...

Prefer to be on PF, club or not!!

And also they have enough events i think and am always meeting new members so i like it as it is now...
