Default MOT EMISSIONS,cat test

my old mondy failed its mot today on the emissions ( passed on everything else)
its failing on th co,with it being 0.30 and 0.50 with the cooling fans cut in.
in the garage they was on about getting the sensors checked on the diag machine which they cant do till next weds
what are usual things that make it run rich/fail the test?

it is normaly the lamda censor that is at fault as this give's reading's of the emission's to the ecu which will then lean or richen the mixture.

nine out of ten time's it will be this censor at fault

deffo worth ago!!! if it was tested today and you took it back tomorrow
all they would have to check is the emission's. might be worth asking
them to check this for you after giving it a good run without them
wanting to charge you again if it fail's for another mot.
