I've decided to give the company name a bit of a revamp, mainly due to the fact that im stepping away from supplying Performance (not enough money to be earnt as there is too much competition!) I want to solely concentratie on signwriting and vinyl.

SO, what i need is a slight change in logo. I want to keep the Vortech logo as it is as its getting fairly well known now, but want to lose the Performance bit of it. Instead i'd like the words 'vinyl art', or something along those lines next to the logo.

Has anyone got any suggestions for me which I could use? I want to get it all done and dusted asap as i will need to change banners etc ready for the show season.

Also any photoshoppers who can come up with something. I like the following font which 'vice city' is written in so something like that would be preferable. Heres the Vice City logo for an idea:


All other suggestions other than 'vinyl art' are welcome but nothing stoopid please - its a serious thread!

looks good mate but not that font, the 'VICE CITY' scripted font. I want the Vortech logo left as it is with the original font, with the Vinyl Art done differently!!

nup, its only part time, although I am a limited vat registered company. I do commercial signwriting mainly but also do number plates (show and legal), vehicle livery, vinyl cut stickers for car clubs etc.....

Mr Manchester - that was something i was looking into doing, but the print machine is fookin dear for a small company like myself. I am looking at doing a proper airbrushing course but cant find anywhere that does this

Just buy an airbrush gun and give it a go, you have to buy the vinyl paints and sealant though, we never did a course, its easy

 

im might just do that!! I presume I need a different kind of paintgun to a normal one?? Where can you get the paints from??

that looks like the airgun me ex uses to airbrush customers nails etc... hmmm *Fozzy gets his burglar hat on!! *

 

how about some of these??

 

air brushes are used for loads of things as its just a matter of changin the paints to suit wat u wonna do altho u can get loads of types of air brush kits from big guns that u would use to paint a car or something to the little small pencil kind that u would use for fin detail work.

if u do ur logos etc on the computer i would recomend gettin a graphic tablet and pen as u can get the same sort of effect digitally as u can with the real thing and much easier to.

 

You can only get that effect if you have a vinyl printer and not a cutter.

Vinyl printers are stupidly expensive.

nup, not a vinyl printer, only a vinyl cutter unfortunately Chris. My other printer is a colour laser jobbie.

Colour vinyl printers are 10k +!!
