I took my st170 for a diagnostic on fri although it seemed to be driving fine, I had used a handheld scanner because the eml was on. The code was p1381. They phoned me and quoted me £700 to strip the cam down, new cam belt and parts which I politely refused. The problem started when I went to collect the car afterwards. They gave me the keys without saying anything to me but when I started the car, I noticed the car was spluttering and idling around 2000 rpm. When i went back in and questioned what they had done to the car, they said it was like it when I took it it ! I said to the lad go start it an try it. He drobe it round the car park then came back in and told me it was ok. So when I got back in, The problem was still there, I tried to drive off the car and it stalled 3 times when braking. To me Ford have seriously messed something up somewhere any ideas ?
