Default having a spot of trouble

i was watching a lsd on ebay but missed it
luckily it hadnt sold
it was a 7.5" 3.64 that had been left out and had rusted and seized
i contacted the seller after the auction and asked him if he would sell outside of the auction

i got it for £65 delivered

this was it

i got it last week and friday night i got around to unwrapping it and opened it up

i took coupling number 1 out and thought "this is a bit short" then took number 2 and and knew then it wasnt a lsd

i should have known by the plate beside the crownwheel but i never even thought to study it

i emailed the fella and told him the score on friday he hasnt replied so i emailed him again tonight

i'm not sure you'll get very far with this.
essentially the ad was false and a ssuch you've not got what you paid for, but how do you make the guy pay up?
paypal dispute if you went that route, otherwise i'd clean it up and make it an ornament.
it'll cost you your life to get anything back and consume you.

itl take £20 to send it back so thats me out £20 and no diff

i could take the gears out individually and wire wheel them and build back together again so it will be a good diff but im gutted that itl cost me £65 then oil and effort!

if the chap has any sense he will do me a deal on another item he has forsale and then were both happy but some people are hard work

If the crown wheel and pinion clean up you got a bargain 3.9.

All he will do is contact ebay and say that he doesn't deserve the feedback. I did that to someone who I bought something off that wasn't described. we had an arguement and he left me positive feedback with a negative comment.

One email to ebay removed his words but left the positive feedback.

i ended up keeping this diff and the other night i tried to press out the pinion but its well and truely seized in there am i doing anything wrong?
i just stripped all out and was left with a casing with a pinion gear in it and i took it to the press and started pumping

ive watched youtube videos of pinions being removed from jeeps and trucks and the just beat on out with a hammer is a sierra different? have i missed something?
