Default Opinions on MK2 FRS

Hi Guys

Just after some info from the people that has had the pleasure of owning or driving the mk2 FRS

Just wondered what you guys thought of them as a whole - Power, Reliabilty, Handling, Etc..... Also do you think they are going to be falling price wise much more in the future?

Thanks in advance

Great cars, sound amazing, handle well, and easy to live with everyday. Driven a through with work and really like them.

Prices will drop like everything.

As said, slated by those stuck in the past who think that a FWD car can't handle well.

One massive benefit to an FRS over an old cossie is that you can drive it all the way to the 'ring on Friday afternoon, give it death round the track all weekend, drive home sunday afternoon and it will still start at 5am on monday morning for you to go to work

Haven't driven one but i would love one. They look so menacing and intimidating that most other cars classed as its "rivals" look tame in comparison.

Thanks Guys

Pretty much along the lines that i thought, I think I'm going to go down to my local ford dealership the weekend and see if they have a FRS I can have a test drive of

Really am being pulled towards one and everytime I see one out it gets me thinking about them

A couple of mates have got these and they love them to bits!

I went to national day earlier this year and due to one of my mates still recovering from an operation and not able to drive for long periods of time, he asked me to drive his one back and it was really good to drive, a really good package out of the box.

That was a standard car but he was looking around at the various tuning packages as the car was nearing the end of it's warranty period but in the end he traded that one in against another one with loads of bits done (apparently it's the one that used to have the Rockstar Energy wrap on it which has now been removed), 425 BHP, AP 6 pots, coilovers etc......

He let me take the car out for a bit of a play the other day and what a difference over the standard car! A lot, lot faster (as it should be with 120 BHP over standard!) and handled very well! I was surprised at how well it put the power down considering it was a very cold night and the roads were ever so slightly damp. Don't get me wrong, 425 BHP and front wheel drive will really struggle for grip in the lower gears and the traction control was constantly in and cutting the power when in 1st and 2nd (I normally turn the traction control off on cars as I prefer to drive without it but my mate was scared and asked me not to! Tart! ) but from 3rd onwards it just hooked up took with a little bit of torque steer!

Had a geezer in a new Porsche Carrera have a play while we were out and the Focus showed him up easily enough!

I'd have one in a heartbeat if I could! Makes me wonder if I'm a bit mental still playing with an old cossie! Lol!

Buy one mate, you won't regret it!
