A press or you can do it in a vice with a small socket and a large one

the metal rod bit in the middle seems to be realy free but the bstard wont budge

Not very environmentally friendly, but I normally set fire to them and let the rubber burn away

do original ones have a bearin in there ? cus it seems that they do but my powerflex dont ?

proper cossie trailing arm "bushes" are spherical bearings rather than compliant (rubber etc) bushes. The centre sleeve SHOULD feel free to pivot around the centre, but shouldn't be any side-side or front-back slack. The fact it is free to move doesn't mean it's worn!! Only needs replacing if there is side or radial play.
If you really do want to get them out it will need a press.

they are pretty much like these inside, but with rubber dirt seals each side.
The bit in the middle is essentially a ball, so you can see how it will swivel in all directions but not move sideways or front-back..

mine on the cossie were a bastard to get out, in they end they set fire to them using oxycesolene (sp) then when they melted enought they just fell out and the new 1 pushed in easy and a few mins later when it all cooled down the bush was in there nice and tight.

He spent 2 hours with a big hammer and an air chisel first off and got nowhere with it.
