theres not really much the mods can do, ban someone and they just set up a new user name. dont ban someone and they just set up a new username anyway to carry on ripping off others .

I think there should be a sticky thread on the for sale thread with a list of names to be published, a buyer beware do not buy from these people, no banning just a list of names.

You need to contact them ASAP and raise a dispute.

You also need to contact the Police force from the UK in the area this guy is, and report him for obtaining money by deception. They will try & fob you off saying it is a civil matter, but it is not. He has taken your money with no intention of sending you parts, if they even exist.

At the very least you should be able to get a crime number & give it to paypal to show you have been defrauded.

It may be worth contacting your credit card company if you funded your paypal account from there, they may be able to help.

I have sent you a private message, but ill come on here to explain, when you first wanted parts posted to America I wasn't keen and told you this at the time, then decided to do it to help you out, after spending about 3 afternoons off my time sorting it all out you got the headlights and grill that you said we're broken which I found hard to believe as I had everything well wrapped up inside home insulation to be safe! , I asked you for pictures so I can make a claim but you have failed to send me them???? I will look into the side skirt and grill and if they can't give me tracking info I will claim and refund you for skirt and crash bar

No point banning him as it cuts off people's contact with him. Best thing to do is remove his privelidges of being able to buy & sell stuff, and have a forced banner in his sig stating do not trust so other users won't get ripped off by him.

has been proven that doing this allows no further communication between seller and buyer so we do not do it, i dont want to be acused of helping any "supposed" rip off or scam by stopping people contacting them...
and "if " you read the rules and follow em then you dont get banned etc ...

Yeah I agree with this, I've not bought or sold much on here but on one occassion we did do the feedback but the next two I asked and never got a response.

Mark for the sake of 5 mins of someones time could this not be made a mandatory element of selling for items over say £30?

I know it can never stop the idiots who prey on people but it will go a long way to getting things sorted.

Shame no one can see the benefits of a classified ad system.
