Ok car is complete and going great, and until the day I have a hydraulic clutch conversion I am stuck with the cable.
Anyway, after installing the T4/2WD manifold and proper heatshield the calble still gets REALLY hot and effin stinks of plastic especially when it's stationary letting the heat build up in the engine bay.
I see some people have wrapped theirs up in reflective heat resistant foil and similar, i just wandered exactly what you had used and how effective it was? I have a new cable and was going to install it soon, so i'd like to wrap it up first before I install it and hopefully get rid of the stink!
