Default Cheap Tracker

I've never really thought about having a tracker on my 3 Door but there seems to be a spate of RS thiefs going on.
Even though it's garaged at night with a Cat 1 Alarm on if someone wants to but it on a low loader when you have it parked up somewhere your buggered.

It got me to thinking as I have a spare iPhone 3GS due to upgrade to a 5 i'm going to hard wire a charger behind the dash and plug in the 3GS and leave it on with just the Find My iPhone app on it.

So now i'll beable to tell where ever it is as long as it stays powered up.

And now anyone who is inclined to steal your car will know to a) put it in a container b) Remove the dash and phone before pulling it back out of the container...

I'd delete this topic tbh

There are better ways of doing this that are just as cost effective although your idea is a good one and will work very well

I've got something that's hidden and hardwired into my car that should my car get stolen I will know where it is at the touch of a button

Firstly they'll have to get it to a container take the whole dash apart then remove it some how I think i'd have noticed it missing by then!
