just bought a mondeo which appears to have some sort of alarm fitted. when i lock the door there is a little bleeping noise. Then a while later the car alarm goes off, its like the horn is being repeatedly sounded. Is there anyway of deactivating or adjusting the sensivtivity of it? thing is its parked in my street and i dont wanna piss the neighbours off.

if its a mk1 mondeo and your setting the alarm by turning key in lock the lock switch was a common problem on these(on back of door lock barrell), check these first.
