Default granada cosworth ????? help

hi ppl iv been offered a L reg granada cosworth for £300 its not got mot needs new bonnet and rear arches and a good tidy up really
it a x armed responce motor and it is BULLET PROOF still
just wanted to no if its worth gettin or best passin by

if its BULLET PROOF then it would weigh in for a fair amount,

£300 buy it, even if you dont want it, you get that back for the engine, then scrape the rest!

the armored glass is worth an eBay auction if you don't fix it up, by the way one of the funniest things to happen to me was some bloke trying to break in to the rear of the armored merc I was a passenger in about 20 years ago...... the brick bounced and hit him in the face!!!!!! bloody nose etc ... I just slid into the foot well laughing!!!!

yh fil been told cos of the weight it eats rear tyres but i think thats to do with the power ..

Rust will be your biggest issues with these old barges
Take a close look at sills all along and where it meets the rear arches.
Under near the rear beam mounts and springs.

you will need a manual conversion as it will shit the gearbox

rotten arches won't be a cheap fix either

well iv had the car now for 2 mouths got mot an tax goes like ........
but only prob iv got is the heater blower dont seam to be workin ..
iv checked fuse and iv got power to the resistor and out of it so i guess its
the motor !!!!!
now it dont look a easy job to get the motor out or to put back in .....
any help pls ,,,,,

if it's in the air con box then you need to do a fair about of fiddling to get it out

it will come out but make sure it's not the switch first

only 2 bolts either side but the air con pipes and stuff make it much more complicated and don't forget you will need to move the engine metal cowling which may require some very short screwdrivers

thanks dojj ill have a go at it once it stops rainin ....
matthew im shore ur p100 has had a box or two of welding rods used on it !!!
as they where rotten b4 they came off the line ....... cheeres

I can handle banter but i was after advice help tips .... not some1 mouthin off tellin me that the car is rotten....when they ain't never seen the bloody thing .
So unless u can help me with the heater on a 2.9i Grenada cosworth. .......... off !!!
