Most kits are simple, unplug old bulbs, snip the bulb clip or buy some modded ones, make a hole in the light cover for feeding cables through. mount your ballasts somewhere out the way and thats the hard stuff done
just clip in the bulb, connect the wiring up and your there.
mine took about 20 mins or so to do on my passat.

isn't fitting HID kits to cars now a complete waste of time due to the new MOT rules?
I was under the impression that if you retrofit HID lights, then you must retrofit self levelers & headlight washers for it to pass the MOT?

The way I understand it, having studied the Mot manual lately, (Im fucking sad like that ![rulez.gif](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/rulez.gif)
) you can have a HID kit but it must be fitted into headlights with projector lenses (the funny little lenses where you cant actually see the bulb). They don't necessarily have to be fitted with levelling sensors/headlamp washers, however, if these are fitted then they must work!!
