Default Help with escort?

Not sure if this is the right section, buttt, here goes, i have a '96 escort van, which technically makes it a mk7 i believe, im looking to buy some lowering springs for it, however i can only find 30mm ones for the van, yet 60mm ones are available for saloon models, are the struts the same, can i buy saloon ones for it? thanks in advance

welcome to the site "happitwat" your user name made me laugh "happi twat" but i think you have a mk6, the alleged mk7 is the so called last off the escorts, car wise it's the one's with the high level brake light, ie 99>

i'll let the guy's who know what they are talking about help you with the spring's

Will you just lower the front or all round?
I've got a escort 55 van & want to lower it but unsure on the rear end?

just to clarify the term mk7 was used by europe as they lacked the savvy to understand that there was a model called a mk5b, In this country the last escort was a mk6 which covers all models from 1995-2001, Vans can be modded well and the front springs are the same as cars but it really depends on what engine you have in it as diesels are heavy and need front rs2000 springs but if its petrol then run of the mill gti/si ones will do as for rear lowering this needs more thought as far as Im aware theres nothing off the shelf

fronts only and 60mm drops on escorts mean they eat wishbones
