Default WHAT GEARBOX'S FIT THE RS1800? and have i killed mine?

well, picked up a RS1800 this af, ragged it all the way home from a 90 mile trip racing my mate (Fucking stupid knew something would break if i did this)

got 5 mile from home and coming round a roundabout, floored it, when changing from 2nd to 3rd missed gear n redlined it! now gears really notchy and when i got it home tried reversing to park up wouldn't go in reverse just grinded, then when as was trying to put it in gear (as i live on a steep hill) it just shook the whole car!

what've i done?!?!?!
is it new gear box time?
which box's fit the RS1800? can i just an RST one?

CheeRS
