Default dodgy saff for sale

i went and looked at a mercury grey saff 2wd in cambridge which is up for 5995. wot a shitter !! i got a speach from the seller about how his mate has owned it for 10 years and spent thousands on it when in fact its on its 3rd owner in 6 weeks which is clearly stated on the logbook. it has had a lot of welding which might not be a bad thing, if done properly, but sticking metal plate over rot with silicone is not the done thing and its just had a 'new mot'. and worst of all the chassis number has been removed and changed by the svs which google tell me is the stolen vehicle squad police. upon presenting the seller with these facts he still thinks its a 6k car !!!! i cant beleive the cheek of some people

maby a swift punch to the lips, with force from the upper legs and upper back muscles would have aided you after looking at the shit box?

i was speaking to a "breaker" about a mint saff shell i wanted that was un-welded, although he said "it isnt in need of weldong, its all been done"

why waste peoples time, prick

This used to be a well known car on here. Was owned 4-5 years ago by "NUTTIN RILLA", and then by Gilligan - both from around Ayr.

This is how it used to look and run back in the day:

Shame it has gone downhill now

Exactly!!!
It's like saying all the ones sold on here are mint and the new owners never get any issues with them.
I'd say your more likely to get a good un on the 'bay but pay more for it cos the owner knows what it's worth hence is advertised in the largest marketplace in probably the world.

Wow im totally shocked!!!!

As above i owned this a few years ago, spent a small fortune on it to.

I was surprised at the price my self as i sold it in really good condition to a mate for 5k, but i just thought cossies must be rising again.

It looks as if some total tit has had it, hate stupid stickers like that on the boot.

Missing jacking point covers are the height of laziness too and the front splitter is stone chipped to hell.

It looks as if its been abused by clowns on track or shit like that

Shame to see it like this as i spent so much time and money on it, hope its still the same engine tho, i built that my self in my mates kitchen lol and it was bomb proof!

The thing is all the good things i have done to it can be undone by one careless owner, who no`s how many its really had now

Please remember that i go and look at more cossies per month than most would view in there life time , and most are not as described and are beat up patched up piles of smoking shite

Yet there adverts and descriptions to me over the phone paint a different picture

The "well it is 20 plus years old " doesnt help when you get there after doing 200 miles

The problem is that most of the "gen people " that have been around the rs secne for years have moved on now and a large percentage of the old cossies have been passed down to young lads who just thrash the shit out of them , very poorly maintain them and think sitting it as low as it will go , adding the darkest badly fitted window film and the cheapest ebay shite gauges and under bonnet bling will add value

Its very hard now to find a gen unmolested saff that isnt either rotton or badly looked after

they are out there but you need to view 20 before you will find it

I even struggle to buy breakers now as most arnt even fit to do that as there is nothing on them worth selling

I'm with Paul, there is a 400 Saph round here, looks like its driven to death! Every corner he's spitting sparks where it's dragging on the floor, he's a decent lad though

I did a few bits of welding to that car and it hasn't had alot and it most defininatly hasn't been held on with silicone anywhere. Have a look on YouTube at cossie at crail and you will see it on there. It's been built to a very high standard and it was and probably still is bullet prove. Get a life mate

Wayne I don't know what your problem is or why you think you can cuss me and my car on a ford forum. Your just tring to get a car for nothing by making things up about it that don't exsist, do done a hpi on the car and it was clear so how you think it's stolen or has been stolen is beyond me. Your M3 was a shitter, it had more bubbles of rust and scuffs than my cossie lol but you don't see me going on M3 forums taking about how shit your car is.

Oh and just to clarify the only reason I said sorry to you was about lying about how long I had owned it for and nothing else, the car is in good condition for the year and is a well know car in the cossie world. Just because you couldn't buy it for £2k and your a dreamer you decide to make shit up about it and post it on forums and post links of it on forums. What have I done to you to deserve that or is it just because you haven't got anything better to do with your life.

Nice one

No mate you sound like a cock. The car is a rotter. Both rear chassis look like a badly sown up patchwork quilt and inside the nsr ( that's nearside or passenger side rear ) wheel arch just in front of the back wheel is a massive patch of metal that has been completely lashed on with silicone instead of weld. The boot floor has also got holes. The front inner wings also have rot. The floors are also not good. As an obvious know it all you will be aware that any welding needs to be seem welded. That means one complete weld all the way round a patch ! From the other pictures that have been put up I am sure it was a nice car once but unfortunately those days are long gone. Maybe before you start with being a keyboard warrior you might want to go and have a look at it. There is no way with the way it is it would have passed a genuine mot IMO that was done recently.

And as for the svs code stamped on the chassis number I googled it and the Internet search told me svs stands for stolen vehicle squad. If this is wrong I apologise on behalf of myself and google
