I got this one in the pic below can I put a intercooler onto
It or not and if so what does it involve and will I get any benifit from doing so

No that's a 75bhp model the intercooled version was 90bhp I am sure the fuel pump and turbo is different on the two models

as said above u need different pump different wiring intercooler brackets and pipework easier to buy a intercooled scrapper and change it all

Ok could I drop a intercooled lump in out of a escort complete but use my existing wiring loom or do I have to use the loom out of a intercooled one??? And will the loom Un plug and plug back in under the bonnet??

The intercooler is only there to allow you to run more boost safely so in theory you can put any intercooler on and just up the boost a bit although those engines are so strong you can just run a bit more boost safely enough on it without the cooler.

i can only ask why? you will literally be throwing money away mate these engines are lethargic regardless of what you do to them just leave it as is and enjoy the great mpg lol

They go well when tuned. Seen a couple of 140 bhp ones.

Kent even do a cam.

You can fit an intercooler yes but it wont be as good as the 90 version as they have more fueling and boost to go with the IC.
Internaly all the 1.8s are the same, i have an escort non turbo block and head in my sierra TD it's just the bolt on bits that differ
