Instrumentation to measure EGT, AFR etc?
What do people use, professionally or at home, to measure Exhaust Gas temps, AFR, and detonation?
Asking out of interest really, no other reason!
We develop diesel engines at work and we usually use, K-Type thermo couples, or PT100's on machine and on test beds, coupled with datalogging equipment and wondered how this differed from rolling roads or people at home messing around in their garage??
Cheers,
Chris

i use a type k for the egt's as its good for about 1250 degrees, this is connected to a pectel t6
i used once of these for listening to det

to measure air fuel ratio, i use a ntk wideband connected to the t6 again, and a bosch wideband connected to a innovations motorsport lm1. this is also connected to a datalogger, measuring against boost pressure (can do a few more analogue inputs aswell tps/inlet temps bla bla)
