You need to get the Thiel-Small parameters of the drivers (will be in the subs spec) and then you can calculate the size of the enclosure.
If the above is doiuble dutch seek pro advice!
Then you need to decide whether you want a sealed or ported box (sealed box = tight natural deep bass, higher power handling but not as loud or a ported box = "BIG" bass, rolls off quickly below port tuning freq and needs more careful positioning/tuning as you are adding another variable). It depends on what kind of bass you require, what will fit and where as to what enclosure will suit your needs best. A box thats designed for say a Fiesta will not neccessarly sound nice in Escort.
Personally I prefer sealed enclosures.

oh dont forget when running ported the boxes will be much bigger so if space is tight stick with sealed!

if you do go sealed your probably lookin at about 1cuft per sub so about 2cuft in total of internal space...so externally it is as a rough guide 25.5" x 13.5" x 13.5"

you could go smaller or you could go bigger...like i said it depends on the sort of music you listen to....if u listen to punchy bass and very fast bass you could bring this down to about .8cuft each = 1.6cuft in total dropping the size a fair amount.

If you go ported, you will be looking at roughly 1.5cuft each per sub + displacement and the sub box works out to be huge!

check out my ported box for 2 12s

this is 5.8cuft internal after port displacement and speaker displacement...without all of that (if i was running that exact same box sealed without the port) the volume is WELL over 6.5cuft! just goes to show howmuch extra volume you need when ported!

my advice...if you have got the space go ported! especially if u like low bass i LOVE my belly moving bass hence the box being so big coz when the bass drops....EVERYTHING around you shakes with the bass

HTH
