Zvh to Zetec
The Cambelt snapped on my brothers zvh fiesta rst on Friday and it's wrecked His stg3 cvh head! The head itself is fine but the cam, valves and the lifters are all knackered. I have a 130bhp xr3i zetec engine in my garage and was wondering what would be involved to fit the Zetec head onto his zvh bottom end. I see there are some bung's in the front of the block (oil or water?) which would need removing. What exhaust manifold would I need and would the fiesta inlet manifold fit the Zetec head?
Any help much appreciated
Thanks Billy

The Fiesta inlet won't fit the head no, you need an 1800cc Zetec inlet. Only the injectors are side fed so the Fiesta ones don't fit without making your own fuel rail.
Exhaust manifold - buy a Zetec to CVH adaptor plate so you can keep the one you were using before. Don't drill and tap the head - it's abad idea from my experience.
Also you will need to change to a Zetec water pump set up, and if there are any holes in the block from the CVH water pump that's fitted now then they need to be blocked off otherwise they will leak coolant.
