Default Urgent Help Please

Hi all.

Im currently changing my cam belt, and tensioner.
The new belt is in, I've got to the point of installing the tensioner, and the new one (which is supposed to be for my car) is completely wrong, the mounting holes are out by about 5mm, and it doesn't look like it will line up with where the other tensioner is, and i would have to remove the plastic cover which is on the side of the block for it so fit properly.
My original one, comes in 2 parts, the spring and the pulley part, the spring part fits over the cover.
But I have been trying to compress the spring but it isn't budging! I've tried WD40, heat and hitting with a hammer to try and loosen it but to no avail. I've tried compressing it in a vice and used other tools and nothing.
Am I doing that right? or is it shot?

What about the new tensioner?
Am I doing it wrong, am I missing something or is it jsut wrong?

This is the new tensioner I have, and belt.

Cheers.
Jason

So, after looking around the net, This tensioner is the new type of tensioner, and my car has the old type, so I need some new bolts to go with it? I assume a trip to Fords is needed?

I'll double check tomorrow and find out weather this is the right tensioner or not.

Cheers.
