In the TOTB that Gareth entered, wasn't his car the second fastest on the drag strip (behind Ronnies Skyline)?
Overall I think it was...
He didn't make the finals due to a problem, but the times that were recorded in the earlier stages were 2nd fastest overall for the day.
So it ain't no slouch in a straight line...

For the people who say that Gareth's cossie isnt really all that impressive......if only you knew what it looked like underneath (it's not just a superb driver and transmission), the custom components etc and one of the first with the original Ahmed beam back in the day. I have been told not to disclose the info etc however when I went to Gareth's a little while back the car was up on axle stands and if you ever saw half the stuff that most don't know about trust me....you'd be shocked + for the record I have seen the dyno graph and it is over 550hp.

Sunny, spend 3 days with ahmed on a dyno like I have and you get to know alot about the car and I always have a good nose over it at Donno as well.

Its just not on the same planet as the Jenspeed car from a technical point of view... and yes I know how much that costs!

It is a great car though, a proven winner and he is a TOP driver

He is at a trackday that I am going to soon instructing. Can't wait!!

Jenspeed car is in a diffirent league however bare in mind when Gareth's car was built and more importantly what it has achieved hence why it is one of my personal favorites.

I agree. Sunny please don't think anyone is talking anything away from Gareth's car. I know a lot of the stuff he has underneath it as well and as we all know it's the "details" that count. I think Porkie and I were just trying to state that the guy is a GOD behind the wheel. Don't get me wrong I think his car ROCKS!!!!

Yes, it was Jay-kay's old F40 that he sold to fund the Enzo . Peaked at 177mph down the main straight at the 'Ring. It was an IMMENSE privalege to be taken round the track at 7/10ths in such an amazing car (and 7/10ths with Gareth is quiker than mosts 11/10ths, as he has done numerous 24 hour races there).

It has had the boost raised to 1.2 bar (up from the normal 0.8) and a Tubi exhaust fitted now (blue flames, so expect to see him busted by the Bill soon for having a flamer ). Should be up to about 540-550bhp...
