The best built cars of the day

The budget for these cars tho was massive as they were the official Ford cars so the best of everything was a must

And to think you could buy a Texaco car a few years ago for 50k . and now there 250 k

If only

Pistonheads?

For anyone who wants to see a recent video of one of the Eggenberger cars in action, look no further:

If you look most Ford " works " cars are LHD , Because most drivers arnt british , lol , and those that are seem to be ok with LHD yet the none brit drivers dont like RHD

No verniers , They just recut the keyway slot in the std pullys to get ajustment , i think this is because it was before the days of verniers etc that are off the shelf items today

That car doesn't seem as quick as the Andy Rouse car? Is it still de-tuned?
How come the AR car is RHD?

Andy Rouse built cars are all RHD as AR is british , lol ,, unless he sold a " rouse kit " and the car built by a privateer overseas

Andy Brass , car in the link ( the rouse car ) has been updated with a lot of modern stuff now fitted

Having said that i think the videos make them look miles apart but i doubt there would be much in it if they were put against each other

Great video but I'm sure it's just a practice lap or demonstration that's why it doesn't seem as quick as the rouse car.
Nice scrap with a rs3100 cologne capri too! Some moneys worth on track that day.

Yea I saw the video with the quaife sequential gearbox. Is adding modern stuff to it not ruining it originality and value?
