In terms of your cars..

Do you prefer people to think "What the..." as you dust them in your poverty looking sleeper, that people wouldn't look twice at on the road.

Or people to think "Wow, that's nice."

Me and a friend had to take his old mans DB9 to his work, went for a little cruise around town and most people had a good old stare, probably because a 19 and 21 year old were driving it
But I quite like the idea that people look at your car, albeit some will think "rich cunt", or other negative things.

Which do you prefer?

that is sadly one of the things that is wrong with this country, people are jealous and think rich flash cunt, rather than think, fair play to him, he's worked hard for that

either way i'd prefer to have the nice car to begin with rather than a sleeper

I prefer a nice looking motor, not so much for others, infact I would rather not have the attention, but for myself to know 'I earn't that'.

Saw the title and guessed the question! Lol! This is the reason I change my car so often, nothing more fun than going out for a drive in a sleeper and confusing people when you leave them for dust or they can't drop you but on the other hand for near enough anything else a 'decent' normal car makes more sense. Talking to anyone about why you drive a poverty spec Escort with a silly engine for example, does get boring trying to explain to people 'why'.

Thinking about it, my Saab pretty much covers both bases... lol

I like the fact that everyone looks at the Cosworth and thinks its had its day and cannot compete with new cars etc, then you make them look silly to regain some respect for the Cosworth badge

The reason this problem exists though is the ones that havent earned it by working lots of hours or going to college/uni/apprenticeships etc think they fully deserve a flash motor or jumping in daddys Bentley Continental..

I work for some very rich families and see this on a daily basis.

They ruin it for the people who have worked hard for nice cars and houses etc because then everyone naturally treats them the same, as rich daddys ponces.

I bet the yb chevette would make your sierra look stupied on twisty roads where you can't use that power, which is 99.9% of the time. Your car is impressive for that one time drag on a very long runway, but pretty much any standard performance car would leave you behind on a twisty b road while your trying your hardest to keep it in a straight line.
