Default think first

what a tit
decided to check the gap of the crank sensor, easy you may think..the crank lug is out of line, but i am unable to get a spanner on the crank bolt as my rad sits too far forward,(yb in a mk1 escort) no problem put the car in second gear and start rocking, so into gear it went my neck bent double looking at the lug pushed, pushed then pulled back no movement,boll@cks the gearbox is goosed as i have just put it in that morning, put it into 4 gear and pushed it nearly out of the garage,no joy,fag time so lent on the prop shaft to roll up......then the penny dropped.

Lol, me an a mate did a similar thing, after rebuilding his saff, wouldn't start, spent ages, sat in the car, trying to figure it out, with the ECU sat on top of the dash...

Did a cuntish thing this weekend with my 200sx. Started it, would idle for like 2secs then cut out, if you touched the throttle it cut out. Thought it had no fuel (fuel light was on) so went and got a fivers v-power, stuck that in, rgistered on the fuel gauge, fired it up, wouldn't idle, cut out. Shit my pants, then remembered one of the boost pipes was in my house as I'd been measuring it up for a new silicone one. Worst thing was, I'd sucked the rubber glove I'd put over the boost pipe to stop shit getting in, into the boost pipes. Luckily my front mount caught it, or it could have been expensive!

i just put my engine back in after dropping for clutch, fitted everything back up, then filled the water, straight onto the floor, of course i put antifreeze in first
got properly angry thinking something is messed up, then i saw a pipe not connected to rad...
muppet to say the least, but no where near as good as the prop not put back in lol!

Nearly melted every jumper cable, starter, battery on the planet trying to start the Evo, after 4 hrs realised the ecu was sitting on the kitchen counter after bringing it in the previous week because I went on a few days hold and wanted to immobilise the car in case of theft

while re-fitting my bathroom i had to change the bath taps and U bend,so i crawled under the bath (just) with very little spare room, the trap had one of those little drain nuts on the lowest part so i got the top of a deoderant spray and drained the trap into it when the top was full nipped the nut back up and with my left arm reached out annnddd...empted into the bath !!!!! 10 minutes and 20 fills and empties later i realised the trap was not a ten gallon one ......a star is born.
