hello there people im new here, but not to fords.
my ford story started with a H reg MK2 orion 1.4 equipe, after a few cars came the 1.6 zetec MK6 escort and then a 1.3 MK4 fiesta.
havnt owned a blue ovel for a while now but have got my eye on a tad rusty P100 TD.
was hoping for some pointers on what to look for and also how good is the 1.8 td lump??

welcome aboard,

the 1.8td aint great but I hear they can be made a bit better with the boost and fuel pump tweaked, you could also fit a front mount intercooler to help.

They need the timing belts doing before the recommended intervel too (imo)

thanks, i was thinking along the lines of more boost, fuel and a fmic, how much boost can you put through the standard engines?? iv played with the pug xud9 lump and was getting 19psi b4 having to change the standard intercooler.
