Iirc they are thinner and pretty sure mounted different

1.9 xr2 on 40's

bottom same top different
need to retrim if you want that cabbie half leather (i have some too)

the seat base might fit but the back rest is shaped to fit around the roof mechanism

I swapped my next door neighbours seats for him in his mk4 cab to recaro about six years ago.He gave me the creamish white leather out of it.I threw it away because it was taking space in my garage.What a doughnut
