Isn't necessarily a cut and shut. All cars have weak points. If they are hit in the correct spot and the rite angle they'll tear like paper. When i used to work for rover group before it was sold, we had a rover 400 do exactly the same thing. Hit by a mondeo i believe. Just the way the welds give in. Car are strong, just not in every angle.

why does evry one assume its always the young persons fault on bad accidents. people said this when i crashed my cossy, but in fact a bus pulled out infront of me, so who was to blame there

it looks liek the car has just sheared apart it dosent look like its bent to fuck which then caused it to shear i have seen some very bent cars before looked a lot more bent that that!!!!

I love peoples stereo-typical view that the guy was obviously at fault.. when there was an accident outside my house a coupple of yrs ago i ran outside to see what had help and called the police/ambulance. a polo had barell rolled onto our drive and cavalier had hit an old coupple in a golf head on.
when the police turned up an officer came straight over to me.. and said.. 'So i suppose your the iddiot that caused this accident then'
Fucking CµNT, needless to say i went mental at him and I nearly got arrested for 'breach of the peace'
Im just saying that until people know the facts not to judge on such an incident especially one as tragic as this.

a mate of mine just been in a crash in is evo 5, a woman fell asleep and drifted on to his side of the road, police stil trying to make out it was his fault, keep questioning him on stupid things like wat music were u listening to , were u in a bad mood, where had u been, how loud was ur music? problem is, he was booting it at first, then petrol light came on so he slowed down on approach to garage and Bam, 120 combined impact seed, he ok, but she in hospital for 8 weeks. he overtook a bloke bout 10 mins before and he stopped to give his little dig.
