I've got a low milage transit but the bodywork is not the best but the time has come to replace the van I've found a 55 plate non runner that is rust and dent free but the engine is shot I was thinking maybe buy that and get the engine out of mine put in that chuck the other engine in the back rob the few good bits off my van to sell and scrap the rest

Thing is how much would I realistically need do you think to get the van from Sheffield to Blackpool then get the engine swapped?

I'm in the AA but might be a bit cheeky trying to con them into a tow home

I would reckon so if it's £1200 to swap everything over?

Factor in a service and if possible a timing chain depending on mileage, mine needed doing at around 110k.

I rented a transporter from transporterhire.co.uk think it was about £95 or so. Mind you not sure on its max weight etc!
