Unstablecable

Hi I'm changing both inlet and exhaust manifolds and wondered if there was anything in particular that I should know before diving in and ruining my car. Thanks a lot.

Expect snapped studs on the exhaust side. By a new stud and nut kit and you'll prob need access to a stud extractor pal.

Yeah I got new studs as I did expect that. Can I just rent a stud extractor? Thanks for your help.

Soak all the studs in penetrating fluid the night before. That will help

i also do this and to add i sometimes run the engine up to temp as that also helps

just be very careful not to touch the manifold as you will melt your skin

but if you use a long extension you should be ok

Thanks aajbarker would you suggest any other areas to lubricate as there will be a lot of fingering and fettling going on. Haha not up for melting my arms I don't think so I'll be sure to use an extension. Thanks mate.
