Im still more interersted in the wheel figure from a dd rolling road than the dyno hub. When will you be putting it on a set of DD's Stevey?

No offence meant Jimbo & i applogise if offence was taken it sounded funny at the time after Jays remark. Sometimes you set yourself up for it just bite your tongue. You know the max a t38 will make just leave it at that .

Oh yea... I've just raped your wife and daughter.... I thought it would be a really funny thing to do at the time..... so 'no offence'.

Cut the fatherly advice, if he's got an (EDUCATED) opinion to express then he (and any one else) has every right to do it. Your a bit of a figure head on this forum Rod, sarcastic comments that are obviously intended to offend don't fit the image you portray on here, I was surprised to read it.

I really don't get this number chasing shite that goes on? if the cars safe, fast and fun... will you really notice that extra 5 bhp? nice car all the same.

now thats beyound banter and pulling someones chain dont you think

i will just say that i think jimbo is a clever lad BUT as far as his educated opinion goes it is more assumption due to the fact as what exacly that turbo will do to how tony has set the car up ! i also admit the figures are high and like ive said before i think the turbo could do that on paper its the rest of the spec lol

I dont care what engine spec it is who mapped it or anything!! on a dd rr it would never see over the 500 hp even if it had 3 bar up its arse!!!lol
But its a revised turbo with a billet wheel which not only spools faster than the old T38 but also flows the same as a T4.

We can only wait and see if it breaks the 500bhp goalpost on a DD RR.

stay on topic please these insults are unnecessary and uncalled for be warned

The TT billet t38 has achieved higher figures that steves
578 bhp on a 2.3 stroker mitsi evo
4i's old t38 made 462.5 at the hubs last time on wgt's hub dyno and with the revised billet TT T38 it made 30 bhp more on the same dyno
John has his t4 powered yb sapphire booked in for a hub dyno run at wgt on saturday
last time it made 480 bhp and was beaten by frasers tt38 powered sapph by 22 bhp on the same day back to back
johns made more torque though
be interesting to see what Johns new spec t4 powered engine achieves this time

The hub dyno power figures are rubbish full stop.....

The only way you can believe them is if you take the hub as the flywheel and even then theyre a tad high but very close..

frasers car on a t38 is never a 500hp car either..

why all this bollox now just for steve to cry his eyes out when he hits a proper dyno(a dd rr)because when he does your all going to look stupid again!!lol

ps ..

Obviously there is a 26hp increase as both tests were done on the same arse hub so thats a good increase and if 100% correct should see the car doing around the 490 hp mark on a dd rr with the same boost achieved..

That turbo will not do over 500hp on a 2.0 yb!!

How would you know that Danny the billet anti surge turbo technics t38 is a new development
and it's a 30bhp increase at the hubs

first off my names jd..secondly look above iv already said that the extra 26 hp the super billet wheel has achieved is good but your missing the point..

On a dd rr in the same normal conditions as the other day with same boost etc etc it wont see over 500 hp

wait and see the new found power will be lost again once on a dd rr..lol

Exactly, its obviously NOT a joke... and an extreme example at that i'll grant you.

I think its pretty easy to make an educated power estimate given experience and knowledge of a particular turbo/engine... Im not saying I agree or disagree regarding the OP's power... im not that bothered either tbh, just that Rod's commend seemed pretty out of character, and given the amount of people Jimbo has helped out with accurate info pretty out of line too... But hey, its the internet lol

Take i with a pinch of salt mate,

Its a horrid thing to say I don't disagree, but its also an OBVIOUSLY and deliberately over the top comment. Taking the piss out of someone just to make them look a tool, and questioning their hard earned reputation then saying "im only joking" is a little different from having a dig at power figures isn't it.... The fact is too many people think they can get away with crap remarks by saying it was all a joke.

For the record I clearly haven't done the above and if Rod finds it insulting i'll happily edit the post, reading back over it now I could have chosen a different example.

In what way?? All i've said was my commend was a bit extreme, I wouldn't write the same thing again and instead choose an example that better fitted the situation. I didn't just say... Sorry.... I was only joking.
