Default MSD Chip

Hi,

I run a green label L8 and so have all the closed loop hardware as standard and have retained it. If I go for an MSD 380bhp chip will this automatically retain the closed loop side of things as this is what I have as standard anyway?

The car was turned into a track car but being put back into use after 6 years being stood. If it was remaining a pure track car then closed loop would not have been too important but if I am putting it on the road then I would like to retain it.

I will be running a stock 4x4 engine with T35 / .63, RS500 IC, amal valve boost control, 3 bar, 403 greys etc.

Any advice welcome as I don't really want to shell out on something I already have.

No the closed loop software is in your chip, that's the only difference between green and red top l8's
You will need to pay Msd extra for closed loop on your new chip.

Greys are 403 injectors
Greens are 803 injectors

Ah, thought it might have been chip specific. Just advice on its requirement then I guess as it wont be a daily driver - just the odd day etc. 90% track time I rekon and so not needed I feel.
