but as i should start work next week im going to save up and get me a nice erst around my b'day in august so i wont be able to spend much money on my escort now...

so on a buget im going to euro my escort....

heres whats going to happen in the next few months...

keeping it on chopped springs
getting some wheel spacers
spraying the car matt black with rattle cans
chain link steering wheel
chain link number plate surrounds around metal pressed number plates
some oldskool seats
rear bolt in rollcage


not going to cost much to do and will be very different for fordfair 08!

seeing as you have what seems to be a decent shell, why not leave it as it is, just sort out any rust, then take it off the road for a bit when you have the money and do a proper RST rep, maybe even buy a rusted too fook one to re shell, that way you know it is spot on. what does it realy mean to have RST on your logbook??

red one with a 1.6cvh, k&n, full ashley 4-2-1 manifold and exhaust..

green one efi turbo conversion running 151bhp...

but the main reason i dont fancy doing that now is i want to save most my cash and get a very nice specced erst later this year...

So, save ALL your cash, leave the car alone and just drive it, have more cash for your next car .. Sounds simple to me.. Although I think you ought to look at cossies not RST's 2 years NCB's and 19 you will be able to get insurance at not too daft a rate

they looook the part but what they like to drive just look abit sizey..

and by farrrr the escort mk4 is the best car ive driven...

2wd saff is 100 times the car an RST is, not being nasty, I really really really wanted a black series 2 RST, loved them, but drove a cos and its just a different world, as the car is so much nicer to drive ... A good stg 1 4x4 or 2wd would be a fantastic car at your age, I had my first 2wd saff when I was 19 and it felt like the fastest thing in the world . Plus you can fit 4 mates in in complete comfort and still do 160Mph cossies drive so nicley you don't notice the size really

the price if somthing goes wrong will be bigger though...dont think i would be able to buy a a very good one...as i wouldnt want to buy one just for somthing to go wrong and then spend more money fixing it...

think i will just get a nicee s2 this year..and then look into a cossie next year or somthing as id like to own a s2 first and then go upto a cossie rather than having a cossie and thinking naa aint going down to an s2 now...

i know i'll get shot down for this but why not band them, ie 8jx15 with streached tyres. or better still some bonus wheels banded. 8jx13 with 175/55/13 tyres. i was gonna band some mondeo 15's for the mk3 van but couldn't be bothered in the end

you want to euro it? i think it will work

but not doing it the way you said at the top.

leave the exterior as it is, its PERFECT, find some 16 inch dished/studd'd wheels pref 8inch wide for the rear and 7.5 at the front and aim for ET20 circa, stretch the tyre wall and keep it low. Put a funky cool exhaust pipe at the back and posibble smoothing on the body work if u really want.

then drop a 1.8 16v on carbs for that one off idea
