Can anyone recommend me a fault code reader? I have 2 Mondeo's a 56 plate ST tdci estate and a 53 plate 2.0 lx but my dad also has a 1.8 zetec 2001

I would like if possible one that what cover them all

Problem with most code readers, is they will only do the engine. If that's all you need to check then something like this will be fine.

Not used it myself, but have seen mentioned Formidable which is a PC based software.

Apparently this will do injector coding and access all ECUs

Which ones are you looking at? If they support the vehicles you have,then should be ok.

Apparently that one will work on 2 of them but not the 2.0 tdci as is to old 53 plate

I have just found this for the 53 plate tdci, any good? Says it can re code injectors aswell ?

I bought an F-Super off ebay for Ł24 i think it was and that reads and re-coded my new injectors on my 53 plate zetec-s tdci

F-Super can recode injectors, but it can't clear excessive knock fault codes. A lot the guys on the Mondeo forums swear by them.

 

So worth buying one then you think Dan? Does it work on newer mondeos as i also have a 06 plate tdci st
