what would be a good ratio for me to set my brakes too
just been playing and set it at 68% front 32% rear
this sound ok its in a stripped out mk3 escort with 330 ap up front and cossie rear
i not really stamped on the brakes on the road yet
id have thought 32% back is a bit much.you dont want to lock the back up
when i had my brake bias on my mk4 i ended up wiping out a van when the back locked up under heaving braking.after that your lucky if i used 10% rear as was always scared of locking the back up.
i set mine up dry and made a mark on the knob then set it up wet and marked it again. just go full front and take it out to a big bit of empty road and start introducing rear until you get it locking up then back off slightly.worked for me in the end
best bet is to take it out and try it til you find it locking the rears first, will vary from car-car with many factors. As Jamie sais though, what you set up in the dry will be different when it rains. Iirc you want more bias to the rear (I know it sounds odd) when it's wet.
